Morning walks

She's a "different" looking duck. Maybe part turkey? Daddy turkey duck. It's rare that the female is better looking than the male duck. He had no fear, he came right up to Kodi Lynn, and took the bread from her hand. It made me a little nervous that he had no fear. (Can you see all of the different birds that joined him?) Up close and personal with daddy. He's eyeing my red toes... Lady bugs?... Yum!
Every morning my mom, the kids and I go on a walk to the local park, where there is a track around a little lake. We walk around the track twice and the stop to feed the ducks. As well as a few other birds that happen to stop by for the free breakfast. There is this "different" looking duck with her little ducklings that we especially like to feed. She has lost a few, but we are hoping that these 3 will stay safe. Kodi Lynn loves to see the baby ducks every morning. Degan just loves getting out of the stroller. :)

Quiet time!

Well for the last two days we have been hangin' around the house. We take walks to the park in the morning, and just lay around the house for the rest of the day. Not bad! Kodi Lynn likes to sit by the pool and dangle her toes in the pool (she is more timid with the water this year), and Degan just likes to climb on the lawn chairs (he is not a fan of cold water). He's asking for a fat lip. Which reminds me...Poor Kodi Lynn is not getting along with gravity lately. A few days ago she fell of a bar stool in the kitchen, and got two fat lips, and a bloody nose. Yesterday she really wanted to walk to the park, and not sit in the stroller. Within seconds she fell and skinned her knee. That girl! Today we managed to stay clear of accidents. We went on a walk around the neighborhood to find lizards. Pet Brandy the dog (the one sharing the umbrella with Kodi), and enjoyed dinner at a cute little Italian restaurant. All in all a good quiet day.

Lions, Tigers, and Bears...

Oh my...Today we all went to the Tampa Zoo. Which was a lot of fun. Kodi Lynn walked pretty much the entire way. Which made having a double stroller pretty pointless! Degan Loved the manatee exhibit. He pointed at everything, and squealed at all of the fish. As soon as Kodi Lynn would find an animal in a habitat, that would be enough, and on to the next. "Another animal now." She just had to see it all. We ended our stay at the playground. The kids Loved playing in the water area. What kid doesn't right! Another great day here in Florida. Tomorrow I think we'll just take it easy and hang out at home. It's so lame, but these two twitter-patted birds really made me miss Bobby. This bird sat right in the walk way of the aviary. Not the best place to build a nest. Which almost every bird there was doing just that. It was really cool to see all the different types of birds building nests. What would a park be without a carousel? Leave it to Kodi Lynn to make this the "Must Do" of the day. Degan loving the water! She had no fear feeding the goats. They were so docile. One came right up to me and rested it's head on my shoulder. It wanted to be scratched behind the ears like a big ol' dog! It was so funny!

Just Beachy!

My mom and I took the kids to the beach yesterday, and they had a blast. Kodi Loved running after the seagulls, and Degan loved the sand. We spent about 2 hours soaking up the sun (with 45 SPF sunscreen!), and enjoying the beautiful day! Kodi loved finding seashells along the beach, which she carefully put in her bucket. Along with all that sand. Ha ha. I could not quite grasp her method for this.
This was actually taken the day before. We had lunch at the beach. Degan is high-tailing-it to the water. I actually heard people say they wish there weren't any waves. Are you kidding? That waves! We could have been at a lake, the waves were so small!

Swimsuit Model

Brazilian Cut Got Wedgie? At least it served a purpose though.
Okay so of course the Easter Bunny brought Kodi Lynn a Lella bathing suit for Easter. But he could have given her one that covered her whole tush! Do you think she'd let me take off? "Mommy it's my favorite!" Well perfect!

Happy Easter

Look what the Easter Bunny brought! Yeah an egg! Yummy This is a great day!
I hope everyone had a nice Easter. The kids had so much fun. Kodi got to prance around in a dress all day, and Deegers got to play in the grass. What more could they ask for? Oh yeah... Candy! Once Kodi Lynn figured out there was candy in the eggs, she was in heaven. So was her little brother, who sat right next to her. I've never seen him move so fast. Every time a piece of candy feel, he was right on top of it. He had the biggest smile all day long. Sugar rush I guess. And by 7:30 they were knocked out. It was a very pleasant Easter.

Singing in the Rain

It poured on us today, so we bought Kodi Lynn her very own umbrella. She loved it so much. Enough to share it with Brandy (the neighbors dog).

Colored Eggs

Waiting patiently
Her 6th blue egg Finished products This is Kodi Lynn's very first time dying eggs. She did so good, not a drop on her clothes. She had so much fun with it all. Can't wait for tomorrow morning.

"Kitty not nice a me!"

The Culprit

The Victim

Here we are at my mom's house ready to leave for Target, when I hear Kodi Lynn scream. She comes running up to me with a big gash under her eye. I, naturally, sucked the air out of the room, and called for my mom. Blue-Leo (the cat) had scratched Kodi Lynn when she went to pet him. We cleaned it up with peroxide, and some put liquid band-aid on it. It's still really swollen and red, but I think it should be o.k. I just hope it doesn't scar. Does anyone have an idea what to do to prevent a scar?

We're Gypsies

So it's 5:30 p.m, and I ask Kodi what she wants to eat for dinner, and... well this is how it went..

  • Kodi Lynn: I want my dinner at home Mom.
  • Me: Home? Where is home baby?
  • Kodi Lynn: I don't know where my home is Mom?
  • Me: Well when we get back from Florida and California, we can go home.
  • Kodi Lynn: I want Daddy to take me home after Nana takes me to Disneyland.
  • Me: O.k that might work.
  • Kodi Lynn: O.k I want my home Mom!

She said all of this with the most serious face. She randomly asks to go home but I just laugh and say o.k soon friend. I never really guessed that this might be hard on her and that she is ready for a room of her own. I feel like gypsies making camp here and there. I want to go "home" too! Hopefully this vacation will help pass the time quickly. Well I better go make dinner.

Coming soon to a city near you...

Can't a secret ever be kept? Can't I ever surprise you? (This is directed to those antsy Bowlers!) Well here you go. My dates for California! I was going to surprise you all but it has been leaked out by to many people. Yeah I found out. I won't name names, but you know who you are! ;) Anyways, I am leaving for Florida on the 21st of March, to spend Easter with my mom. I plan on being there for 2 weeks. My mom has pushed a trip back so that she will be there for the first week, and gone for 2 days on a traded trip. I will be hangin' out with my step dad John. We should have a lot of fun. I plan on arriving in California on the 5th, 6th, or 7th. Which ever day is best to fly stand-by. Monday, the 7th is the date that will probably work out the best. Weekends are very hard to fly. Let's just hope the spring break crowd doesn't mess up my travel plans. So Rob have the t.v room, and Lexus ready. Hey I'm going to need a car!... lol. So who's going to pick me up?

Farmer Degan

He loved Pepper. He was such a good horse! Cody showin' Deegers how it's done. Where's my pitch fork? Handsome lil' farmer isn't he!
Today we all went over to Perk and Carol's house. We were there to celebrate Perks birthday. The kids love it over there. They always cook the best dinners, they have any kind of candy you could imagine, and have tons of animals. My kids were in heaven. Degan just loved being out there. He pet "Pepper" the horse, saw a cow close up, and got to play in a stack of hay. Not to mention he was doted over by Carol's two sisters, Cindy and Pam. They fed him yummy food, gave him sprite, and supplied a shoulder to cuddle on. All in all this was a great day for him. I have to remember to ask Monica to share some of the great pictures she got. In the mean time here are a couple of mine.

Practice makes... Umm better

A close up.

Part not straight, and a little lose on the right.

But how cute is she from the front! I love that you can see her face. That is until her bangs fall down. They always do.

Well as every one knows Kodi Lynn is the cutest in braids! It has been long over due that I learn how to do it myself. Yup... Up until now Nan, Letti, or Lynda has been making my little girl look this sweet. We will soon be on our own, and if I want to keep her in the cute little french braids that I know and love, I must learn how, and soon! So here are some pictures of my very first try. I know I need a lot of practice.

I'M DIEING

Yes dieing! I got the dreaded flu. It seemed everyone was getting it. Craig, Tad, Amelia, and my mom all had it. I thought I was going to be one of the lucky ones. Sadly mistaken. Yesterday it hurt just to sit up. My head would pound, and I would feel dizzy as soon as I stood up. I feel for anyone who gets this. I am feeling much better than yesterday though. I even came down to face the living today. I have been trying to stay away from the family as much as possible, so not to infect them. Hopefully they all keep their health. Sorry Carmack's :( I know yesterday was not fun for you either. Lynda watched the kids for me, with Paigee's help;) Thanks Guys!

BLOND MOMENT!

OK I had the biggest blond moment today. Bobby and I took the kids McDonald's for lunch today, because of the indoor play place. Well when the lunch was all over and we were leaving I wanted to go out the side door, but Bobby told me to go out the front, I asked why and he told me "O.K use that door." So I go to the door, and as soon as I push on the door... "Whee Whoo, Whee Whoo". And the yellow letters materialize. "Emergency Exit Alarm Will Sound" Right! Of course. How did I not notice. Where was Bobby? Standing way on the other side of the building, laughing at me. Could my day get more embarrassing? Oh yeah! So on the way home Bobby gets a call from Craig who is telling him that McDonald's called to say that they got our licence plate #, and owe them a $15.00 fine for setting off the alarm. So I get upset, call Rob to ask if they can do that, and complain about it all the way home. Come to find out Craig made it all up, and Bobby knew about it. Uggghhh! Such a blond day.

More pictures of the house

Well the house is coming along. I can't believe how much they have gotten done. They got the brick up, and all of the drywall is up too! I am getting so excited. We are getting so closed to moving into our very first house.

Chef Boyyar-good

Degan Loved his dinner. He got it everywhere. Can't you tell. He's such a chunk! I had to rush him in to the bath. The only problem with pasta sauce, is that stains your skin orange. I had to scrub his face 3 times. Which made it hard, because I could not tell if his face was still orange or if it was pink from all the scrubbing.

Hottie's hear a WHO?

Ha, I thought this was a fun Picture. We are at the Children's Museum in Austin. It was so funny! Hey Iya's are bigger than mine! Oh well such is life ;)

Baby it's cold out side!

Below is Livee's snow egg :) Today it snowed! It started to snow around noon today, and didn't stop until dark. We got 6 1/2 inches! I could not believe it! Yesterday was soooooo warm. I had a short sleeved shirt on, and we took the kids to the creek to play in the water. Kodi Lynn did not know what to do when she saw it all. She was almost afraid of it. I tried to get her to go outside, but she would only shake her head no. All of the kids were so excited, running around screaming, while she sat at the bed watching Max and Ruby (her new fav.). Finally Uncle Cody called with a fun challenge for the Carmack girls... Who can build the largest snow egg? Well the girls got all dressed up again to go out side to make their eggs, and in a couple of min. Kodi thought she would give it a try. She LOVED it! She ran around eating the fresh snow and screaming with Miles. Finally she had to come in because her hands were freezing. ( Dasha, I know she should have had gloves on, but I did not have any. We had to make the best of it!) Degan on the other hand HATED it! I set him in the snow, and he instantly started screaming. Of course I had to get a picture of him, which only made it worse. It was pretty fun, but I am ready for it to be warm tomorrow. I'm like my mom. I love the sun!

Forgive my Absence

This was such a cool park. It's at an old Santa Fe Depot. It's huge! Kodi Lynn had so much fun, and Deegers liked the real trains going by. This was so cute. The kids were getting cabin fever, so I took them outside to get some air. Kodi wanted to help Degan walk around. He loved it. He wouldn't even come back to me. He loved being the center of his big sister's attention. We went to "Wazoo's" tonight. It's a big bounce house. Kodi and Carys had so much fun.
Sorry I have not been blogging this past week. My sister left for home yesterday. :.( Tad, Amelia, and the kids came down to hang out with us. :) We are having fun spending all our time with Daddy, but are ready for some home cooked food! We are going back to Craig and Lynda's tomorrow. We wish Bobby could come home with us. The week goes by slow without him. Here are some pictures I've taken in the past week so you can see what we've been up too.
