October and November

Between School and family life, there doesn't leave much time to blog. I'm sorry for that. Here is a little of what happened the last few months.
Halloween was a lot of fun. They really had a blast running from house to house.
Degan likes to stay in Character
In November we had Bobby's family come visit. It was so nice, especially for lil ol' home sick me. ;)
I love this picture! I can't get my Hubby to smile for a picture and so I am grateful they got a candid of him smiling. (Well kind of) Everyone just looks so happy in this picture.

Pink Pony'sfirst

Saturday was Kodi Lynn's first soccer game. She started off so excited!...
Looking cute before the game
Practicing making a goal before the game...
Mad because she already kicked the ball, and want to go home.
When we could talk her into getting on the field, she did great.
She's the smallest Pink Pony (naturally!)
When the game was over, and I was putting her in the car... "Kodi wasn't that fun. Kodi: Yeah, but I think I like baseball better. Hopefully Kodi Lynn will have a better attitude next game, but I still thought it was so funny!

August in Review

Another month has flown by yet again. Can you believe fall is knocking at our door. Kids are going back to school (along with some adults), weather is starting to cool down, and you can't find anything "cool" in department stores (only sweaters)! I am really excited though, because I love sweaters. Hehehe. Here are a couple great things that happened this month.
We spent most of August by the pool, with our friends and family.
My dad flew to Austin to help us to drive to Missouri, for my cousin Sam's wedding. The kids had a blast. I had to literally pull Kodi Lynn off the dance floor. I wonder where she gets that from?
I started The Academy of Austin, a Paul Mitchell school on the 18th. As you can tell from the picture above... Color week went well. Don't worry it washes our after a few shampoos. "I love it!"
And of course we celebrated a very royal birthday... I love my Boog!

Interview with a Four Year Old.

Last night I interviewed Kodi Lynn about herself, and got some really cute answers.
  1. What is your favorite toy? "Piggy, Charlotte, & Mermaid."
  2. What is your favorite movie? "Bell" (Beauty and the Beast)
  3. What is your favorite color? "Pink and purple."
  4. What do you like to play outside? "throw the Frisbee."
  5. What is your most favorite thing to wear? "A pretty dress with flowers on it."
  6. What is your favorite food? "Hot dogs and Tacos"
  7. Tell me about your family. "I love my Mommy, and Daddy, and brother... I like all my family"
  8. What is your favorite song? "All the Single Ladies, and Kleep, Kleep Bleeding"
  9. Tell me all about you. "I like to share my toys. I like to have a princess cake. I like to sleep in my bed. I love Coy. I like to color. I like arcoons (cartoons), and my brother, and that's it"
  10. Do you know how old you are tomorrow? "This many..."(holds up 4 fingers)
  1. How many is that? "one, two, three, four... That's how many." (now imagine serious diva-tude.
Mommy notes: Her nick name is Boog, and Degan calls her Dodi, but she always introduces her self as a formal Kodi Lynn. She is so smart. She has a million and one questions... Why, why, why all day long. She can write her own name, along with Mommy, and Bobby. I don't now why she had to know that. She is great at drawing and coloring, and sits all day long doing just that. She must have 10+ coloring books, and our fridge has no room left for a grocery list. Every time we get in our car we have to listen to the "Fabulous" song from High School Musical 2. She lives in a dress, and loves animals. Her favorite cartoon is Max and Ruby. Oh I could go on and on... We love our little girl. She's my best girl!

4 and Fabulous!

Today is my little boogs birthday. I can not believe I have a 4 year old. She is such an amazing girl. She's smart, sweet, and a great big sister. We are so lucky to have a fabulous little girly girl in our lives. Happy birthday Kodi Lynn.

Flavor of the Month

This is Steven. He's Shannon's newest toy. Hehehe. Ask and you shall receive Steven ;)

~Quick Catch Up~

Becca and I hosted a baby shower for our friend Kari. Her cake below is a Mario Bro. Mushroom. She loves anything Nintendo! Even better than the way it looked was the way it tasted. Like a freaking Twinkie!!! Yum.Our dog Coy loves the water at the Lake
We found a spot on Lake Travis that is only 17 miles from our house. Woo hoo!
Bobby trying to catch a fish with leftover hamburger with a hook and a string.
Degan thinks he can swim. Thank goodness it's only a foot and a half deep. Believe it or not, he can hold his breath for quite a while, and does kick while he's under.
Jumping to Daddy Ready, set, Cheer!
We are trying to keep as cool as we can. That means a lot of time at the lake, splash park, and pool. Hope everyone else is keeping cool this summer too.

Feeling Home Sick

Wish I was in California. I'm missing everything it has to offer. Mostly my newest niece. Paisley. I'm so bummed that we are not there to meet her. "Sigh".

Congrats Shannon!

Shannon did it. She Graduated this May from CSUF with her Bachelors Degree in Business with a focus on Accounting. Now, all of that schooling has paid off. She is the newest employee at Voluspa Candles. ( www.voluspacandles.com ) Starting on the 20th of this month she will be a working Accountant! Way to go little sis! We are so proud of you!

Fav. Foto Friday

Here are some of this summers favorite pictures. (so far)
I just love her toes in this picture. She really wants to be in dance this summer... As soon as Soccer is over I will find a good beginner class. This picture turned out cool. She started jumping as soon as I clicked the shutter. Click to enlarge it. It looks so pretty with the bubbles. After our morning bath Kodi Lynn usually gets herself dressed... And usually it is dress-up (it's all she can really reach). When I checked on her, she was in all white. I thought she looked so cute I had take some pictures. I LOVE having a Girly Girl!

Hawaiian Shaved Ice

The kids and I had to return some books to the library today, and right next store is this cute little Shaved Ice store. "Kawaii". I thought that it would be a nice treat on such a warm day. It was our first visit, and it was such a cool little place. We will definitely be adding it to our library trips.
That bald kid is Degan. Hahaha
The kids got Melon Blast, and I got the Bahama Momma. YUM!!!
If you look close to the board, you can see how many different flavors they have to offer.
They did such a great job sharing! Nan... Kodi wanted to order you a Banana.

Happy 4th of July!!!

Thursday, July 2, 2009

Good Bye June, Hello July...

I feel like I say this every month... "Where did the time go?" Things have been so busy, that instead of it being only yesterday, June feels like months ago. What can I do to just have time stand still for a while. So much has happened... And silly me, I've been to "busy" to blog about it. Well here is what I've neglected to share.
  • Degan is fully potty trained! Yippee.
  • Kodi Lynn is not afraid of sprinklers anymore, and will eat spaghetti. (Thanks Nan)
  • Bobby's cousin Casey will be coming to live with us in Aug.
  • Degan is in a big boy bed, and stays there all night!
  • Kodi Lynn can write her name, and is bargaining with me about going to school a yr. early.
I can't be sure if that's all the news. If I left anything out, fill free to post for me! ;)

Grand Cayman

7 days in Paradise! This place was great. It was so nice to have an adult trip, with nothing to worry about but the number of my SPF!
The view at 7 mile Beach
Bobby "climbing" a coconut tree Our last dinner out. If you don't count the Wendy's run we made when the power went out. We were watching the lightning in the distance There was no Texas, so we had to do the next best place. We went to Hell... Out by our Hotel... Looking for shells. This is our Hotel. The Morritts. Tad caught this sucker and cooked him up. He was pretty good too!
