Very, very sad : (

My good friend Gabby told me about this family, the Neilson's. The Mother and Father were involved in a plane crash, earlier this week. They both have 80% of their bodies covered in burns. They have 4 small children staying with their families in Utah. Her friends and family all have blogs dedicated to their recovery. Try to check them out. Her sister's blog is the most helpful. http://blog.cjanerun.com/ There is also the Benefit Blog where you can make a donation for their recovery or for the children at http://web.mac.com/andrewtbagley/iWeb/NieRecovery/Benefit%20Blog/Benefit%20Blog.html Just spreading the word would do a lot of good for this young family. What is heartbreaking for me, is that the parents can't be by the sides of their 4 beautiful children. To have to go through the pain of their physical injuries is one thing, but to be away from their kids as well... My heart aches just thinking about it. Her family is doing a great service to them. But hey what are families for right. Keep them in your prayers.

More birthday picts.

Miles and Lexi Degeers with Miss Rachel. He LOVES being with her. It does help that she always has a yummy treat for him. ; ) Some of our rowdy guests Party favors. The note said, "Hope you had a colorful time. Love Kodi" Degan got his no fear attitude from his big sis. I know, I know... You have have seen enough of the birthday picts. I just wanted to show everyone what a great time she had!

A Colorful day!

Kodi Lynn had her 3rd birthday party yesterday. We had such a great time. Kodi was so excited to have all of her friends, and cousins over. She had been waiting so long for this day to come. We had Tad and Amelia's water slide up, which was of course the highlight of the day. Lots of grate food. And of course what would a party be without a stellar guest list! Of course we missed our friends at home. Which Kodi did ask about. "Mommy... Whens Logan getting here?" She misses all of her friends at home.

Mommy and Daddy got her a bike.

My Aunt Diana made this dress for her. Complete with matching hat and bag. She wore it all morning.

The Water Slide! Thanks Tad and Amelia!

Opening more gifts

Make a wish!

I also want to give a big thank you to Lynda, Kellie, Amelia, and Rachel. They helped make her party a success. Thank you Soooo much girls. What would I do with out you?

Thrilling Threes!

Can you believe it. Kodi Lynn is Three!
Here are some things you may or may not have know about our little Princess.
  • She is still obsessed with Disney Princesses. Her favorite is Bell, like Sissy.
  • She loves to read. Our favorite books are: Falling for Rapunzel, and Waking Beauty, by Leah Wilcox. They are so funny. We also love Lauren Child books. She is the Author of Charlie and Lola
  • Her favorite color is Pink. Well today ; ) Sometimes it's purple.
  • She is still quite the girly girl. She only wants to wear a dress.
  • Her favorite thing to eat is chicken nuggets. With green beans. ; )
  • She LOVES candy!
  • She can clean her room all by herself.
  • She is so friendly. She wants to be friends with everyone she meets. She is always asking kids at the library if the want to come to her "new house".

She is such a joy in our lives. She has her sassy moments, and her patients level can get kind of low. Hmmmm wonder where she gets that from? But all in all she is more than we could ever ask for in a little girl. She's my best girl!

We Love you Boog! Hugs kisses, noses!

Small achievements : )

Another nice thing about having my family over, is that it gave me motivation to hang up some thing new in the house. I was feeling so bad for Degan's room, because it had absolutely nothing on the walls. So I spiffed it up a little. I hung up all of our Angels things, and got him a new bed sheet. I'm not done yet, but was happy to finally get started on it. I still need to make him a quilt, and get his name on the wall. I also have some cute pictures of him to hang up. Look hard at the corner of his crib. Can you see one of his Angels pillows We can't wait to add another World series Magazine on the wall. "We're #1" Bobby hung these bats on the wall for me. Eventually I will add little hooks and make them hat racks. I also got read a little. Don't ask how I managed. I read this book, as well as, "Suzanne's diary for Nicholas" These are such great love stories! This author has a way of inspiring you to live your life to the fullest, and surrounding your self with love as you go through it! I recommend that you read them. Sunday's at Tiffany's is a mix of Drop Dead Fred, and City of Angels. You need to read it!

I ate my Green Beans, so now I'm "Big"!

Kodi Lynn loves to tell everyone that she eats her green beans, so that she can get "big". It is so funny. She so badly wants to be like Zoe and Paige. Mostly because they can walk in the street. Hmmmm... She is really pushing it. ;-) Well the other day we were at the pool, and she wanted to jump off the side in to the deep end (thanks B.j) ;-). So here I am getting ready, and before I could get close enough she jumped in and swam to me! Of course I did what was only natural of a proud mama... I screamed with JOY! My little girl just swam to me! After some odd looks from the other moms at the pool, I announced that this was her very first attempt to swim all by herself. They then all understood my goofy outburst. Well, kind of. When she got out to try again, she quickly added "It's okay Mommy, I'm "big"." Yes you are boog! She really is getting so big. She has always been little miss independent, but I just can't stand how big she is really getting. My little "Big" girl! Wow!

What a week!!!

So my family came, and it was so great. We had such a great time. Here is a recap... Monday: My Mom, step dad John, his boys, and sister Shannon came to town. We were so excited to have them. We went out to eat, and then came home for some anniversary cake. (Mom and Johns 1st) Awwww... After some very yummy and very chocolaty cake, we had a massive Wii tournament! The picture above is Kodi Lynn with Johns youngest son Danny. He was so great with the kids, they both were. This is my step dad John, and his great kids. Danny (11) on the left, and David (15) on the right Tuesday morning we got up early, and went to this water park; Schlitterbahn. We had a blast! Kodi Lynn and Degan had a million little play areas just their size. Kodi was so "big" that day too... She went on a small rapid ride with Shannon and I. Her face was priceless. Sorry I don't have pictures of it. I didn't want to ruin the only camera I have left. Wednesday: Sadly my Mom and John had to go back home. Work was calling Johns name. We were sad to see them go. Thursday, Friday, Saturday: Shannon and I spent the day by the pool with the kids. It was great. The kids were in total bliss! Oh and Friday the Olympics started! Yeah! It is extra special for us, because this girl, Sanya is our neighbor. Well her parent are. They are such an awesome family. Very friendly, and generous. They love all of the kids in the neighborhood. I can't wait for her 1st race on Sat. the 16th. She is expected to win the gold! Go Sanya. She is having an unbelievable year. She also got engaged to Aaron Ross the QB for the NY Jets. Check this weeks People and you will read all about it!

One week notice

I am submitting my official one week notice. I will probably be scarce on the blog for the next week. I know not anything new, me being absent and all, but I have a really great reason... My Mom, Step dad, and Sis will be here for about a week. I am so excited!!! We have so much planned, and of course, when everything gets back to normal, I'll be back. I will even have photos to share. ( I found my old camera, and it will do until my new one gets fixed.) Blog you all soon. :)
